Our History
Agensi Pekerjaan PMA Sdn Bhd (PMA) was established in 1993 in Penang, when the domestic helper placement industry in Malaysia was still young and largely unregulated. PMA's founders recognised that families seeking domestic help needed a trustworthy, accountable intermediary — not just a transactional broker.
Over 30 years and thousands of placements later, PMA operates from three branches — Penang (head office), Puchong (Selangor), and Alor Setar (Kedah) — each staffed by consultants with deep familiarity with their local communities and the specific needs of families in their area.
The agency is registered with JTKSM (Jabatan Tenaga Kerja Semenanjung Malaysia), the Department of Labour under the Ministry of Human Resources, and holds a current valid licence. Our licence number is displayed below and in every branch.

What We Place For
PMA places Indonesian and Filipino domestic helpers across three primary care categories:
- Elderly care — daily personal care, mobility assistance, medication management, companionship
- Childcare and nanny — infant care, school-age routines, homework assistance, school runs
- General housekeeping and cooking — daily domestic management, meal preparation, laundry, cleaning
Many placements combine elements of all three. We discuss the full scope of duties at the consultation stage so that the helper who arrives knows exactly what is expected, and the family knows exactly what they are receiving.
Our Team
